Scope & Background: |
|
The autonomy and intelligence of software agents have greatly enhanced automation in many operational domains. Benefits of using software agents are the ability to assist in the collaboration among humans and software mechanisms, coordination among software agents and systems, and decision support on knowledge discovery. In general, agents may perform different behaviors for different kinds of expectations. In cooperative systems, agents will perform tasks more cooperatively in order to achieve their common goals, while in competitive systems, agents may compete with others in order to reach individual aims. However, in most real world situations, both cooperation and competition exist between agents. Agents need to be carefully organized and managed in order to maximize the efficiency of the whole system, and to balance benefits between others.
This workshop is in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on Principles of Practice in Multi-Agent Systems (PRIMA 2009). The goal of this workshop is to bring together world-wide scientists who are either conducting researches in agent-based collaboration or coordination or decision support to share their knowledge and experiences, and to spread their future researches on new challenges over these or related topics.
All topics related to the interdisciplinary aspects of agent-based collaboration, coordination, and decision support are welcome as much as these are in some way relevant for or applicable to software agents and multi-agent systems. These issues are being explored by researchers from different communities in Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent systems, distributed problem solving, complex systems as well as agent-based applications. The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers from these communities to learn about each other's approaches, form long-term collaborations, and cross-fertilize the different areas to accelerate progress towards scaling up to larger and more realistic applications.

Submissions and Formatting Guidelines: |

Submission is entirely automated by a paper management tool, which is available from the main web site: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=accds2009. Authors must first register their own account by obtaining a password, and then follow the instructions.
All accepted papers will be provided an oral presentation at the conference.
Each paper needs to be reviewed by at least two PC members or experts in the field.
Multiple submission policy for papers: Papers that are being submitted to other conferences, whether verbatim or in essence, must reflect this fact on the title page. Papers that do not meet this requirement are subject to rejection without review.
Formatting Guidelines
We encourage submission in Springer SCI format. You can find the format requirements on Springer SCI website: http://www.springer.com/series/7092 The length of papers should not be more than 16 pages long.
All submissions must include the author's name(s), affiliation, complete mailing address, phone number, fax number and email address.
